Below is an outline of the architectural services that we can provide for your project.
Outline Proposals
Interpreting the brief and presenting design proposals. This stage of the project will involve establishing the form and layout and give an idea of overall costs. The design will relate to the client’s specific requirements and the constraints of Planning and of the site.
Planning Application
Submission of an application to the local council planning authority for the detailed proposals. The information that will be submitted will include in summary, plans, sections, elevations, site and location plan. This information will also illustrate the materials proposed and the treatment of site and boundaries.
Submission of an application to the local council to indicate compliance with the current Building Standards. Building Control require information relating to every part of the design, such as site preparation, drainage, structure, fire, escape, fuel and power, construction details and all aspects of the accommodation provided, including access and movement within.
Production Information
Preliminary documentation, general conditions, contract drawings and specifications will be provided for issue to prospective Contractors We would carry out a tender process and administer a Scottish Minor Works Contract (without quantities for projects up to a certain size and level of complexity).
The Contract
To administer the Contract on the client’s behalf. This work would include attending site to hold progress meetings during the contract period, and attending site as and when required by the Contractor. In addition, information would be provided that may be required by the Contractor. Instructions and Certificates would be issued throughout the Contract.
Throughout the project we will work in conjunction with other Consultants such as Engineers.
